Hi !

I am a student in Cape Town South Africa, doing my masters in Marine Biology. I love the sea and everything in it. Simply, I love nature. And in the past few years I’ve become vegetarian.

Why? You may ask. Well the reasons range from compassion, ethics and the environment, to increased energy, better health & a peaceful state of mind. As a science student by nature, I have researched the multiple reasons why a plant-based diet is a good lifestyle choice. As a student, I understand constrained-budget-syndrome. As a meditation and yoga addict, I’ve seen the benefits and the synergy that diet can bring to this kind of lifestyle. As a creative bunny, I find myself in the kitchen cooking and baking for myself but mainly for others. It’s just such fun.

I have many fellow student friends who are transitioning or already vegetarian, and it saddens me when I find out that many of them often don’t know where to begin. In my 6 year experience of cooking, the most attractive recipes consider budget, availability and most importantly… Time and Taste! So after many independent and repeated messages i send out including shopping lists, recipes, juicing and quick-fixes, oh and not forgetting numerous social media spams (to 1000+ people that don’t all resonate)… this blog was borne.
